building bridges

through creativity, culture, learning, and movement

Ponte Community Arts creates accessible arts, STEAM, cultural, educational, and movement-based experiences that help people learn, connect, and belong.

Locally rooted in Worcester and Hartford and regionally connected across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, Ponte brings communities together through direct programming, collaborative partnerships, and the Southern New England Cultural Alliance (SNECA).

our work

youth & emerging adult pathways

Ponte helps youth and emerging adults build confidence, practical skills, relationships, and pathways into creative, civic, educational, and professional opportunities.

Programming includes mentorship, leadership development, career exploration, volunteer experience, financial and civic literacy, creative skill-building, and opportunities to help design and lead community programs.

culture, language & belonging

Ponte creates spaces where people can share traditions, languages, histories, food, stories, and creative practices.

This work includes multilingual program access, cultural celebrations, culinary arts, migration and family storytelling, film, community conversations, and intergenerational cultural exchange.

arts, media & creative practice

We create welcoming opportunities for people to explore visual art, writing, film, AV arts, performance, public art, and interdisciplinary creative practice.

Programs include artist-led workshops, figure drawing, printmaking, art writing, collaborative projects, screenings, exhibitions, and informal creative gatherings such as Work-in-Progress Wednesdays.

STEAM & Environmental learning

Our hands-on programs connect art with science, technology, engineering, environmental learning, and design.

Participants learn through experimentation, observation, making, and problem-solving in programs such as microbiology art, upcycled terrariums, sustainable design, ecology, architecture, energy, and climate-focused creative projects.

regional cultural exchange

Through the Southern New England Cultural Alliance, Ponte connects artists, educators, organizations, and communities across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

SNECA supports shared programming, artist exchange, touring projects, film and AV arts, culinary culture, multilingual storytelling, and collaboration across the Southern New England cultural corridor.

movement, wellness & community connection

Creative and cultural participation is only one part of community well-being. Ponte also develops inclusive opportunities for movement, recreation, wellness, and social connection.

Programs may include yoga, walking and running groups, youth recreation, outdoor learning, and low-pressure gatherings designed to reduce isolation and strengthen relationships.
